Kayla

Kayla getting her purse ready to go to the doctor!

Kayla is such a sweet girl. I can't describe how much I love her. She is so thoughtful, and she helps me out so much. Yesterday she had her three year check-up. I was so nervous for her appointment. I knew that she had to be updated on a few shots - and I was dreading it. This might make me sound like a terrible mother, but when my girls were really young, if never really phased me when they got shots. Yes, I help them, I tried to make them feel better as quickly as possible, but I knew they wouldn't remember for long. Well, yesterday, I knew Kayla would remember this experience. Kayla also HATES band-aids. I can't describe how much she freaks out whenever I put a band aid on her or someone else. I don't know why she hates them so much.
So, I took her to her doctor (I LOVE her doctor), and the check-up went well. She is very petite, and ahead of where she needs to be. Then it was time for the shots. I laid Kayla down, my dad held her down (he came for moral support since Romar couldn't make it), and the nurse was so fast. By the time Kayla figured out what was happening, it was all over. Kayla cried for maybe 5 seconds, but got happy quickly because she got a sucker. Then when she got home, she freaked out when she saw the band aids on her legs. It was pretty funny how sad she got when she saw the band aids. So getting shots was not as bad as what I was thinking. I guess I am just remembering my child hood experience. Yes, it was terrible if you were wondering.
I LOVE Kayla so much. I really can't complain about my kids. They are pretty easy, and they love playing with each other!

That is so funny that she hates bandaids. I don't think I have ever met a child that doesn't like bandaids!
